OK. It is a claw hammer. It is supposed to be used for driving nail into wood, and pulling the same out of wood to correct mistakes. It is also used to persuade chisels, punches, and nail sets. Side effects are throbbing thumbs and dented wood. If used on metal, is likely spall a chip off into the eye.

So glad I suppressed the urge to comment about it being a specialized, left-handed tool. (8{)

That is a left hand in the picture, isn't it?

It's someone using a right handed hammer in their left hand.

Every hammer I've used was ambidextrous - usable with either hand - and I do. But if I hadn't suppressed the urge to post a wise-ass comment, I'd be the one searching for a new tool to post....

After an unexpected win this one shouldn't take long:

What is the key feature of this tool?

It is a device for opening paint tins, stiring paint and other materials in the tins, mixing two-part adhesive, and for general levering duties.

While those uses may be true, they are not the key feature I am looking for.

I can't tell from the pic, but does the shaft extend right through the handle and finish with a dome?

Cheers.

Picture bump.

Is it for poking wise-asses in the eye?
