OK guys & gals, we've got to help poor Monday.....
So all the examples have to do with bats, beers and bikes.

Nice and simple to start with:
You have two dollars and a beer costs one dollar, how many beers can you buy me today?

There's you, 1 bat, 1 bike and 4 six packs.

There's only room for you and 4 other items on the bike.

Which 4 will you pick?

Sell the bat and the bike to buy more beer. It's a linear maximization problem. Either way you won't care anymore.

What's even funnier is that I have a masters in Mathematics from Berkeley. I was looking for some part time work to teach students how to pass the SAT so I actually had to take the SAT. I didn't do well because I solved the problems differently. It was a time thing for the most part I think. I didn't have the canned answer. When I was a teaching fellow I was always amazed by the different approaches people came up with. Some were absolutely brilliant. Everybody has something to give. And you don't have to be a Math whiz, although I believe everyone is. You just don't know it.

How large is the bat? If he'll fit in my pocket or backpack, I can put all 4 sixers in the saddlebags, and we're on our way.

Or are we talking about a cricket or baseball bat?

Well, if he's anything like me, then trying to teach differentiation and integration to someone who's studying electronics... He'll get nowhere.
Here is my apology to my tutors who tried to put that stuff into my head. I'm sorry, it wasn't time wasted, just wasted on someone who doesn't understand it. One one zero one zero etc... :)

Just your regular sized fruit bat 5foot 11 and 95 kilograms of ugly fat.

And Doug...it makes me so happy to know that you have a Masters Degree in Mathematics from one of the most prestigious universities on this or any other planet in the universe. I am impressed, thank you for proving that Setizens are super intelligent,

Being slightly sizzled due to New Year, have been laughing at all the answers, some have been hilarious.

The answer is simple. No choice needed.

Monday is the Bat, has bike so takes the sixpacks with him.

Now to come up with another one which isn't going to be that easy :(

Happy New Year everyone :)

We're all just thinking along the same lines. How many exo-planets discovered last year? How many bats, bikes and beers? Okay how about trading the bike and the bat, AND the six packs for a boxing roo. I'll lay an extra buck down and make 100.

Here's another lesson that might be helpful: 2 + 2 = 5 for extremely large values of 2.
