I find it interesting that during the outrage the crickets only dropped to ~100Mbits. Don't they usually drop to ~20 or less?

IT hasn't dropped below 100 in a few weeks. I might guess that part of it would data going from the colo to the lab. As the graph is all traffic and not just project to the outside world.

Now that was a panic-worthy outage.

I think it was my comment about the bandwidth not dropping below 100 that jinxed it.
Sorry about that.

Looks like there have been a few problems today.
And even now, the splitters are running but struggling even more than usual to produce work.
Getting a lot of tasks on some requests, but most requests for work result in "No tasks sent" or "Project has no tasks available" messages.

EDIT- and it looks like better than 95% of the new work are shorties.

About 00:30 UTC when I last tried this message was on the front page

The machine that serves the boinc database crashed a few hours ago. The project is down until the database recovery is complete.

PS If you look at the status page the database replica is "offline"

Yeah, I meant a bit more than that.

I haven't looked since this morning when it wouldn't load, but I suppose I could on my way out the door.

[edit]
It's still not loading for me.

Replica is now online and only about 73,000 seconds behind.

Yes it is. My browser cached it from this morning when it was blank.

Now come on you know that unless Matt happens to post we do not get told about problems.

2 of the 4 v7 assimilators aren't running, and the assimilator backlog is growing, rather quickly.

OK, SSP is frozen in time again, at 7 Feb 2014, 19:30:04 UTC. Prepare for the next total system crash.

Parts of it have been frozen for 12 hours. I keep drawing a blank page at times as well. My main machine is about out of GPU work again and I don't know if I can Trust the Channels to do number or not.
Whatever...
