Hi Hmm, it's getting easier... I had to add #include <unistd.h>to client/analyzeFuncs.h to bring in sleep() on my Mint system. |

Is it realistic, that the GeForce GTX 570 in computer 7000808 is 10 times faster than the GeForce GT 330M in my notebook? |

Is it realistic, that the GeForce GTX 570 in computer 7000808 is 10 times faster than the GeForce GT 330M in my notebook? Interestingly, the specs state that the GTX570 has exactly 10 times the number of Cuda cores. I tend to place some extra weight in the memory speed at the moment though, for which while on processing cores you would be pushed to 1/10th or below the throughput, the 570's newer architecture and faster memory clock would compensate. So seems 'about' right. ... I'm not sure if I did everything correct or if I can optimize a little more...While I far from subscribe to the idea that there is no fully optimised or bug free software, I can categorically state there are still many possibilities in X-Branch. Thx the guys on this thread, I am able to build the CUDA too. |
