Finished the day right now.

Too hot in here. I have suspended all tasks in the Manager.

You know, visually the Andromeda galaxy is not that exciting to watch.

But it is a huge galaxy, much larger than the Milky Way and although the brightest individual stars may be detected, most of its secrets probably do not.

If this galaxy was a living object on its won, we would think of the radio emanation being emitted by this galaxy to be such a thing as well.

But most likely an intelligent signal may not be able to travel through space for some 2,2 million years and next become detected here on Earth.

This is the major culprit when it comes to this.

Still we are calling it "Breakthrough Initiative".

This term or designation may perhaps be somewhat misleading or confusing, because it could be apparent to some people that an intelligent signal has already been found and that current progress is being done with such a thing in mind.

The fact is that possible intelligence may at times be found in Church paintings or frescos and that even a painting or such a fresco showing Mary the Virgin (the mother of Jesus) could be having something resembling a UFO in the background.

According to some military knowledge being obtained more than 50 years ago, the Earrh is being watched or scrutinized by an intelligence far surpassing our own capabilities.

We are probably still left to the military and a couple of others when it comes to a couple of things, but the fact is that we probably or most likely are not any better off since this statement were originally made.

Many people probably believe in orbs, rods and critters. OTher people may perhaos believe in human fugures having individual names and visiting us from the Pleiades.

Again, no proof about such a thing to be a fact or true, but rather a goood story which could well belong to the worrld of science fiction or even pure fantasy.

Currently I am running Seti@home and PrimeGrid with a resource share of 50/50.

In the same way there is nonsense being found there as well, both the credit given, task length duration and the ways of handling both tasks and users differs quite much between the two projects.

The problem with Seti@home is that it is only setting a rought standard for what it wishes to achieve.

What is the definition of an intelligent signal coming from space?

Is there any difference between the characters of the alphabet and the gaussian or triplet scores which may be obtained by running the Seti@home client?

In the same way, finding large prime numbers at PrimeGrid is probably a shot in the dark because of either a lack of a conjecture, or maybe a follow-up when it comes to such a possible conjecture.

If you happen to be a scientist, you already know what nature is supposed to be able to offer.

People like David Attenborough may be able to tell you about animals living here on Earth, but not necessarily the same when it comes to the Star Queen or Orion Nebula.

The day is fading away and I am going for the last beer of the evening right now.

See you tomorrow.

Anyway, still only Tuesday right now and almost in the middle of the week.

I checked in with a link to a YouTube video being mentioned by someone else here, but it had been removed.

The fact is that if the chair I am sitting on is slightly too hard, or the mobile phone I am using is starting to get old or worn, I will need to buy or purchase another one.

I was watching either a movie, or possibly some interactive graphics of a droplet of water hitting the surface of the same thing.

When doing so, the idea that came to me is that gravity could in fact be related to the subject of Quantum Mechanics and this may be the reason why gravity is so difficult to understand.

We should know that Albert Einstein was not fond of the subject of Quantum Mechanics or Quantum Theory.

Right now excluding the notion of time, because right now I am still slightly in the dark when it comes to understanding what Einstein was meant to be saying when using the words "God never play with dices".

It should be noted that I have not read it all yet and therefore have yet to understand its complete meaning.

Most likely the Uncertainty principle could be a subject closer to Quantum Mechanics than the Theory of Relativity.

Modern science do not disregard any of these theories in the same way as Einstein originally may have made.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transform

I was looking up this term because it is being used by the subject of prime numbers.

But tensors and their equations are also sets of mathematical equations, which have been used by Einstein in order to come up with the Theory of Relativity, including the notion of time.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Einstein_field_equations

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Probability

When looking up the subject of probability in the Wikipedia, this subject is related to logical definitions and terms.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vector_space

If you look at the article about Vector space, you may be able to see that this is yet another subject and therefore may be going on, or continue.

It is almost as the subject of mathematics could be about even more than even the subject of physics at times, because mathematics could be used to explain the properties of nature or space, including those of elementary particles.

Perhaps this is not what you may have thought, but there are in fact some people here apparently or supposedly believing in a God.

If or when so, it may be so by means of the subject of religion, belief and faith, for which there may at times may not be a physical, or at least mathematical explanation for.

If Jesus Christ ever was living here on Earth, he may have had the capability of healing sick and deceased people.

When it comes to myself, I do not necessarily reject the subject of religion, belief or faith totally, but the fact is that the Universe probably could be better explained by means of understanding the mathematical and physical laws which makes for its presence.

When attempting to do such a thing, one such way is by looking at the Standard Model of Physics.

Next assume that there are many different areas related to the area of Mathematics and Physics and that our current understanding of both the elementary particles of microcosmos and the objects of macrocosmos makes us possibly able to assume that at least four different Fundamental Forces of Nature, together with their respective laws and equations are making up most or all of it.

But the fact is that while certain economical gains may be achieved by means of pyramid schemes and the possible mathematical principles behind such schemes and also the fact that some of these may be legal, while others may be illegal, we are still left with both understanding or explaining gravity as well as time, in the same way as we are seeking to understand Quantum Mechanics and Quantum Gravity.

If I happen not to be wrong, even atheists or agnostic people may at times be reflecting about the subject of God, or the possible divine and its possible presence or existence.

If or when doing so, you therefore are still supposed to be using the Scientific method when it comes to doing or carrying out such a thing, or is perhaps the lack of belief you may be having making it possible to do such a thing by means of such an approach?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scientific_method

Again, or most likely I may once again be running slightly off the tracks.

The history behind Jesus and the notion of religion we may be having is some 2,000 years old.

The other alternative may be be either believing in things like superstition and the like, or perhaps other or different set of laws or equations related to different things, like either pyramid schemes, those related to statistics, or those which in fact are supposed to be related to physics.

We readily assume the Universe we are part of as it happens to be and not something else.

This because we are able to relate the way it is supposed to be working against mathematical and physical laws which are supposed to be explaining it, or vice versa.

It should be evident that physicists are seeking to explain everything by means of a GUT (or Grand Unified Theory).

Because Albert Einstein once said "God never plays with dices", the same words may not necessarily be used by Stephen Hawking.

Are you perhaps better able to accept or maybe dismiss either of these theories or maybe subject fields because you happen to be an eminent scientist and therefore are able to conclude that a given fact may be true or perhaps not?

In the same way, is it possible to dismiss the possible notion of God, because your scientific skill or knowledge makes it able for you to do such a thing?

Is the subject of gravity or time any better than Quantum Mechanics or maybe something else when it come to understanding a couple of things, or are we perhaps left with assuming that the laws related to pyramid schemes may perhaps explain a couple of things better than some others?

Apparently a complete answer to these questions has yet to be found.

Apparently Mark posted this YouTube link two days ago in his thread.

Listening in to this video right now.

Is it still the fact that we are supposed to believe that the Universe has been created by what is supposed to be God?

Looking for a better word or term for this description right now, which I do not find the correct translation for.

If you happen to interpret this wrong, you may think or are supposed to believe that the Universe has been created by a God which is explainable by means of religion.

If you choose to use some other words instead, or perhaps are interpreting such words in a different way, the meaning of it may become different as well.

Not necessarily about being either an atheist, agostic, or perhaps a believer, but rather the way you could be able to interpret this meaning regardless of your personal attitude, since there are at least two or more different views on this subject.

Better get back to this tomorrow, or Friday, before it gets too late.

Ever heard about a spider's web or a centipede as being an animal?

Cut one leg off such an animal and there are still many legs remaining.

Same goes with the Politics Message Board here.

If I happened to be starting such a thread or perhaps mixing into the conversation, I probably would be out of here.

If the same happened when it comes to what we are suppposed to be doing, most likely the same thing would happen as well.

You may know from a couple of years ago that the business of running Windows XP and using Microsoft Outlook as the e-mail client also could be your way or prelude of success when either creating havoc on the web, or perhaps getting knowledge about certain things you should not be knowing about.

Such things are not always about science, but they may also be part of daily life when they are happening.

I came across a picture a couple of hours ago showing a protester being restrained by Police wearing full riot gear.

The Police is supposed to be protecting Law and Order by means of carrying out possible Justice and similarly it could be possible to define disorder and violent protests as being random chaos and turbulence.

Each of these sets among many others become factors which are representing different parts of whole picture.

You should be able to define each such thing by being a factor separately and next assume that one set of chaos or turbulence mixed in with another set of the same only leads to even more such chaos.

Trying to make order of chaos sometimes only leads to even more confusion.

Perhaps we may already happen to know about this from a certain place which should be quite familiar?

Now it is time for the weekend relaxation.

See you tomorrow.

Perhaps David Anderson knows that it sucks at times.

At least when using the appropriate e-mail client for such a purpose and trying to get in touch with the right people.

Or perhaps catch the intended meaning when posting.

You know, I am not supposed to be dumb or silly.

Neither is Dr. David Amderson.

Maybe you happen to be such a thing.

Next it ends up being or becoming somewhere in between.

Remember those kisses, will you.

Worth the effort.

Sigh!

Timrless fashion, so to speak.

Reminds me about an offer in the local store.

Is the product up for sale or what the heck else.

The same old story once again.

In fact I fancied those lips, but defintely she is not for sale.

So it goes, or there you have it.

Starting up and it became yet another Monday.

Before continuing at 9 AM in the morning.

Saying "working overtime" in the previous could possibly mean something else.

This was in fact not the intended meaning and I was only referring to it as is should be written or understood directly.

I will have some more a little later on, but for now things are slightly difficult here.

I like the setup AgentB is using for their cooling setup. That seems like the the best way to go.

The picture here does not have the magnify tool typically found in pictures found in the Wikipedia.

But I happened to access the picture using a separate tab for the enclosed link and next double-clicking it with the mouse.

By doing so, it becomes zoomed-in or magnified. Using the roller found between the two mouse buttons (three buttons probably are not common anymore), you may be able to do the same.

Holding the left mouse button when zoomed in a level makes you able to scroll at least up and down and there is also a slight indication of the possibility at scrolling left to right as well.

One level more by means of yet another double-click of the mouse and also left and right scroll of the picture becomes possible. Now quite a bit of detail is visible.

The roller does not separate the separate levels of magnification in a similar way, howevr.

Zooming in on the picture makes it possible to better view the individual details visible.

Mentioning this because not all pictures available comes with this option.

Edit: Noticing the tools for this right now. But using the mouse directly makes this even more simpler.

This link being accessible from the main page of Yahoo!

http://thenextweb.com/us/2016/05/01/tor-vpn-users-will-target-hacks-new-us-spying-rules/

While many people may be concerned about such things like terrorism being the worst kind of crime that could be committed and also the voices of the innocent or even the victims being heard as well, the role of the Police and Justice System is quite clear and therefore visible or evident as well.

The main purpose of these bodies is to prevent such things like crime and terrorism happening.

Because of that there are many people in the computer business and those related to national security which is of the opinion that those things which are related to cryptography should be of more importance than most other things, at least when it comes to computer privacy.

Using the telephone, most conversations still lies open for everyone to listen into. The same probably is when using the mobile phone, but such calls are more difficult to listen in at.

So while people like Edward Snowden could be called whistleblowers, although not wishing to discuss his name on more detail, where is privacy being found if both the FBI, NSA and possibly others may be able to snoop on your privacy by using specific tools at their disposal?

Such monitoring or surveillance tools may not be detected by the sometimes innocent user wishing to use the phone.

Since Skype now is one among several tools available, the web has now become the place to be looking for both innocence as well as the opposite.

Everyone knows that a number like RSA-2048 may not be factored. Therefore it is being used as a means of encrypting information being transmitted using the https protocol across the web.

By means of using a certificate for this purpose, any information being transmitted becomes a garbled mess and both the sender and the receiver needs the Private key in order to both encrypt or decrypt a given message.

Could I have the Private key, please?

This is the silly thing when it comes to this, in my opinion.

An unrelated subject makes me look up the word Moniker" in the Wikipedia.

Right now it is being translated into "Nickname" instead and although not listed, was not so a couple of hours ago.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nickname

Any better suggestions for the correct word that should be used here is therefore welcome.

Off topic, perhaps.

If I am not wrong, there should be a page here related to the possible wording being used if any proof of extraterrestrial intelligence should be found.

Since the search for extraterrestrial intelligence is still a scientific experiment, you still are able to make it a distributed project.

I came across the word "statement" and made a search on the word here.

In fact there are some interesting results coming back from this query.

There are many indications that we are not alone in the Universe and this may be even more evident when looking at such things as evolution happening here on Earth.

Life is part of nature and while many people think that females are better than males when it comes to many things, our sexual or reproductive roles happen to be quite distinct.

Therefore males and females are still not the same, although it sometimes may appear to be so.

I may have been mentioning the battle between the sexes earlier on, but for now I was again looking for the relevant page for this.

It reads "Serverstatus" in one word on the front page. Perhaps two words could be better?

http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2016/05/01/spark-life-science-and-bible-meet-again.html

Except for that, I came across this article after also visiting the kiosk web-page as well.

When looking at this page, it should be another reminder that a given way of approach to a subject is related to the types data being available and also the way this infornation is being accessed and next being analyzed or scrutinized.

If for some reason you could believe that extraterrestrials are behind the stone monuments of the Easter Island, or that crop circles being found in the corn fields, or perhaps the mystical, or even enigmatic faces being found in some women, you may perhaps be one step closer, but for now there should be a difference between a sperm and an egg.

From a small book or booklet not currently in my possession, it may have been stored away, I happen to know or at least believe that Sociology and Intelligence may be closely related to each other.

There are books about this subject, as well as the subject related to artificial intelligence (and not only robots here).

Both robots, cyborgs and other things happen to be part of science fiction movies.

Movies like Blade Runner, The Terminator and Back to the Future (not seen), are dealing with some or many of these subjects and when doing so, it may be asked if there possibly might be any relationship or connection between these separate things which are supposed to be about science?

Also the cultural and entertainment factors related to all of this should not be forgotten either.

For now neither sperm or eggs are the same as bacteria or viruses.

In the world of computers, a virus could be a malicious software being either a Trojan Horse, a Worm, or perhaps something else.

I have not checked for a long time, but I could ask this question somewhere else as well, but the subject of computer viruses also made me think about the subject of factoring.

Although this is perhaps more appropriate to discuss in more detail at BOINC, the fact is that a given algorithm may be used to crack a number possibly having a given use when it comes to encryption purposes.

Rather, I am more back to the subject of the sperm and the egg.

When so, perhaps it could be asked in which way those big whales of the sea are reproducing their offspring?

If you happen to be looking at the dolphin, these animals are apparently mammals by means of their Physiology or visual appearance.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dolphin

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chimpanzee

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Physiology

Unfortunately I am not familiar with these articles right now.

These should rather be something familiar and well-known subjects. since they all should be important when it comes to our understanding of both nature and intelligence.

The fact is that the left part of your brain mosty busy keeping a watch of the food you have eaten, or the air you are breathing.

The little brain in your head makes you both climb the stairs, or even the trees at times, but even so does not make you any more intelligent.

In the same way, the cells of your stomach are not making you any more clever or intelligent either.

If intelligence for some reason could be more associated or related with such things like thinking or deduction, or even dreams at times, we are back to the question which may already have been answered, namely whether or not the human brain is having a functionality based on the laws of Quantum Mecanics or Quantum Theory and its way of doing a couple of things could next be explained by means of assuming such a way of functionality.

Possibly other people could be having an answer or better explanation to this question.

Better here.

Listen in to the audio of the WOW signal.

Possibly being a scrambled message, or maybe even a voice, or if not so perhaps could be more than one transmission being heard at the same time.

The mobile phone I am using may transmit 160 characters in a single message because of the size of the buffer.

Wireless transmission speed will probably never be the same as for line based speed.

Those modems which were earlier 56K or less when it came to speed and most likely higher today are having similar line base speeds of 10 or 100 Mbit per second, depending on the type of network card and protocol, among possibly other things.

If an extraterrestrial message was possibly detected, one way of looking at it would be the binary format of such a message.

If you next divide the individual pieces of such a message into pieces of eight binary digits each, you make it become a word format based on the syntax of the ASCII alphabet.

Next it becomes the hard to understand hexadecimal notation or format, where a limit of the size of the numbers quite soon is becoming visible.

For such use a hexadecimal to decimal conversion is needed. Also the octal format when it comes to numbers should be available in this way as well.

But for now I am back to the speed in which a message may be transmitted.

If Arecibo was being used for 72 seconds in order to transmit a binary message towards a star or even globular cluster or galaxy in space, it would take a long time before it reaches its destination.

But are you next able to transmit the whole Encyclopaedia Britannica during those 72 seconds?

Most likely not, because that would need a transmission speed which is not possible.

Compare this with a possible extraterrestrial signal.

In which way are you able to calculate the number of binary digits being transmitted in a message when it could last some 72 seconds and the transmission speed is 56 Kilobits per second?

Rather than binary digits on a word format, once again replace this with a a single character of the ASCII alphabet which may be 7 or 8 bits in size, depending on the parity.

When next speaking about transmission speeds of 10 or 100 Mbit per second, or possibly a different word length as well, perhaps making such a calculation should give a better understanding of the possible meaning of an extraterrestrial signal and its possible meaning.
