Wow it looks like I got one..... I'll have a pix up just as soon as I get one set up on my server, Thanx John, Edit: This one is not to hard, what it is made of is there for the seeing, what it was made for should follow, so after it is determined what it is made of I'll accept any thing that the object can do with reason. First hint: It is a tool. |

Years ago I received an object that looked much like that as swag at a trade show. The only function I could find for it was demonstrating how the spin axis aligned with the centre of gravity, not the center of the length of the object. |

swag If I did not know what is was in all likelihood I would end up using it as a paperweight. It is only about three inches long. You will find that it is in fact a very high end tool for any time in history. Second hint: It is a hand made tool from antiquity. |

Not to sharpen other tools, used to cut, but not diamonds! Sorry Uli I forgot to reply to your post, not made to signal. Next hint: made from a kind of natural glass. I mislead with the made in North America, Was found in North America, but was made in Central America. (Sorry about that.) |

Bingo! msfiske is the winner! Prismatic blade made of obsidian used for eye surgery. Remembering that the native peoples of mezzo America had little facial hair as a rule, however such blades could use for shaving. I see he found the image. Thank you all for playing. PM is on the way...... |
