Well, I have thoughts on upgrading my GPUs and would like to know if there is a reason to buy a Titan when the 780Ti is around.
From the specs the 780Ti is better in every way exept for the amount of memory and in double precision calculations (1/24 in 780Ti).
If I'm not mistaken there aren't many (Nvidia based) projects using DP for their tasks except for milkyway,
which uses openCL and (openCL) is not wery efficient on nvidia cards anyway.

Thank you for your help!

For Seti crunching, none.
As you mentioned Titan has much better double precision performance which isn't relevant to Seti crunching.
The GTX 780Ti has a higher base clock speed, higher boost speed, more shader processors, more memory bandwidth, and is considerably cheaper than the Titan.

How much better is a 780Ti compared to my 550 Ti?

Get the 780Ti IMHO.

Cheers.

Even my 660's arn't in the ballpark and you need 3x 550Ti's to match my 2x 660's and I've worked that out as my 2500K@3.4Ghz would need another 550Ti to catch up with my 3570K@3.4GHz. ;-)

Cheers.

Well maybe Santa would balk at that idea:) I was thinking 3 years from now when I do another build. They should be cheaper.

I'm waiting to see what the GTX750 turns out like before making my next dual card upgrade (or maybe I'll go back to a triple setup again).

I'll never be able to play with high-end hardware like that, but I can have fun with lower mid-range cards. ;-)

Cheers.
