Message 1465672 - Posted: 18 Jan 2014, 8:33:56 UTC - in response to Message 1465665.

22C today. Thank Marbooka the heat wave is over. 4 days of over 40C was getting too much to bear. Thursday hit 45C, thats the hottest ever temperature I can remember.

Sounds awful. It's never been that warm here in the UK. I think from memory 37.5C is the highest recorded.

I once went for a walk in a Canyon in Death Valley on a day where it was 52C. It sucks the life right out of you!

Mate it was awful and there's nothing you can do to get away from it. All I had was a fan to blow a bit of breeze on me.

They tell us that when it gets that hot, a fan doesn't help. It still just blows hot air over you.

Lucky you. I checked the forecast again today, and so far, we have nothing except clear skies.

looks like it's going to be another bad summer for the Western U.S.

Over an inch of rain here yesterday, nearly 5 inches already this month.

The flooding continues.

Just realized I left a gallon of distilled water in the back of my car last night.

Bad news for the city of Edmonton, the warm weather
is messing up all the snow sculptures that have
been made up for the winter carnivals planed for
the year. Some of the displays are wonderful
looking.....

The distilled water is okay. I think it may be partially frozen, but I'm letting it thaw on the edge of the sink.

33F today, 27 tomorrow, then bouncing below and above 10 the rest of the workweek.

It rains cats and dogs in Italy, the World Cup races are suspended in Cortina because of the falling snow. But it is a humid, wet snow above zero C.

It stayed warm (around 32F) longer than I expected today, and the sun even appeared for 2 or 3 hours.

They're still saying it will drop to 0F or below tonight, colder out here where there will be less snow. The city will have a big dump of lake effect snow.

Highs around 10 for the rest of the week. Ugh.

45 or so days without rain here in Stockton. Mileage may vary in other parts of the state.
Early spring temps during the day and near to normal temps at night.
