Temperatures have dropped drastically into the 10's since we got our first batch of snow last week.

It's been frigid cold in the mornings on the way to the bus stop. My jeans almost literally freeze to my legs.

Nevertheless, Utah's gonna need as much snow as we possibly can in order to survive the summer.

Lows in 20s past two nights, highs in high 40s.

Predicted low tonight 26F, with rain/snow late night/early morning.

From Yosemite to Tehachapi and the Grapevine, snow down to 1000 ft, possible snow flurries on Valley floor (Fresno, Tulare, and Kings Counties) Saturday morning. High 43F.

Last snow around here that lingered more than 30 minutes was 1998-1999 - lasted 3 days.

My signature thing currently says 16F. The weatherbug station a mile away says 17.4F.

But given what Ian's dealing with, I won't complain (too much).

Mother Nature must have forgotten to close the umbrella over my house.
Radar shows plenty of green and some thunder and lightning. Not a drop of rain so far.
Did notice the wind was blowing from the East a bit ago and that is very rare.

High today 8C and expected low 2C.

Let me think..... tidal surge or -40C
hmmm, I'll take -40C.
It was one of the coldest places on
earth here over the last three days.
It is so cold (how cold is it?)
there are three suns in the sky
due to the ice crystals falling this morning.
Good news, it should warm up nicely by
next May......

It's been snowing all day here, and it's still going. Makes the Christmas tree in the living room look more suitable

I saw ski races in Lake Louise, Canada, at -30 C, with girls racing with masks on their pretty faces.

Ah, a fellow Optimist....

Got rain about 0530 Saturday morning - snow down to 1100 feet in teh Sierra foothils east of me, but none on the Valley floor. Cold and blustery for our Pearl Harbor Day rememberance.

Got down to 27F last night, thick coat of frost on everything this morning, almost all gone now. Predicted high 41F.

the mountains are clouded in a snowy fog, and snow now dominates the valley. Looks pretty dang epic.

Spent most of this morning helping our neighbors shovel their driveways. We got to use my Grandpa's new snow machine which was a lot of fun.

Wow! By Monday we will be having a tropical heat wave,
it is supposed to go way up to -6C.
Sunny and in the minus teens to-day means I will be able to
tidy up the walk ways and steps before the men's
curling final later on. The Olympic curling tournament
for the Ladies' and Men's team representatives has been
on the boob tube all week. Winnipeg's Jennifer Jones has won
the Ladies' spot, and to-day we will see who the men's
team will be in the Russian city of Sochi.

About the same here Julie during the day. We don't usually see temps below freezing December, so this is us sharing a Burr with the rest of the northern World.
