I'll add 100 to it = $500 for the Dutch Power Cows

Wow!!
Dutch Power Kitties now in the lead with their $500.00 bid.

Meowza!

But Kitties have to join Cows for 1 year (not behave as ;-) )

That's the deal.
The kitties join the team with the high bid for 1 year.
Bid amount to be donated directly to Seti.

And although the teams that do not win the auction are not beholden to honor their bids by donating said amount, in the past most bidders did make their contributions to Seti even though they did not win. But that is up to them.

We shall see...........

Just pondering...

If anyone from outside the US would bid for an eligible amount of money plus some hardware for the project, how could the HW be posted to Seti without the project/donor having to pay any taxes?
(Label "N items of malfunctioning GPU's, value $0")

I'm not going to bid, but My guess is that We All have some surplus hardware.
Edit: Gx560-Ti448, Gx660 etc. A maybe ok i7-3930K from a motherboard failure, Corair PSU Ax650 ...

Why not offer a 2 year commitment if the bid goes higher than $1000? I think that would be enticing...

$500 is too rich for my blood. I'm afraid I'm out, but I am happy to donate what I pledged. I shall enjoy watching this auction to see where the kitties end up. Thank you, Mark, for such a fun and creative way of raising funds to support this project.

Not a bad idea, and I like it.
So, I'll add that to the pot.
If the winning team bid is at or over the $1000.00 mark, the kitty crunching farm will work for them for at least 2 years instead of 1.

And it looks like the Raccoon Lovers are staging another attack!!
No problem, if anybody wishes to earmark their donation toward a specific team's bidding, even if they don't happen to currently be a member of that team, I shall recognize their bid as counting for the team so requested.

Oh Power Cows, the Raccoons are nipping at your heels!!!

Per my calculations we have the following combined bid for the Raccoon Lovers Team.

$300 - Angela
$10 - Daninal
$30 - Chris S (2)
$30 - {BDC} Thomas Dupont
$30 - Rob
$50 - Mike
$10 - Uli

This makes a current combined bid of $460.00 from the Raccoon Lovers. (Somebody please check my math and also make sure that I did not miss any pledges!)

We have now surpassed the bid of the GPUUG and we are closing in on those Dutch Power Cows. Go Team Raccoon!!!

I am working 12 hour shifts this week, so doing little else except eating, sleeping, and working.

So I thank those who are keeping some subtotals for me in the meantime.

As well as all of those who are chiming in to make it an interesting auction!

Meow for now.
