the name of the team isn't offensive in anyway. otherwise they'd be going after this tobacco company. I've not heard this. The American football team however generates a lot more publicity than an old chewing tobacco.

But earlier this year, the issue picked up again, when 10 members of Congress wrote to the league and to Dan Snyder, the team's owner, asking for a change because the name was a "racial, derogatory slur".
