The wu errored out on my older computer because I thought it was offline when I updated the global preferences after updating to v.7. Unfortunately it wasn't and AVG caused many error problems. Now I have separate preferences. Anyway, even though the wu was completed and validated, I'm not sure if there was a consensus because it was resent and then timed out. It hasn't been sent again since, though. Will it be resent? Thanks for any insight. http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/workunit.php?wuid=1257396327 |

I have a V7 wu unit that is doing the same. Its been stuck since 30 May.http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/workunit.php?wuid=1256202906 I believe the Lab will have to purge soemthing. Im sure someone with more knowledge will be here to answer your question. [/quote] Old James |

Yah, I think we've talked about WUs like these in other threads. Since both WUs have Validated, no new Tasks will be sent out, but since the last Task issued timed out AFTER Validation, there is nothing to trigger the transitioners to purge the WU and Tasks from the Database. It will have to be done manually, when it gets high enough on Jeff or Eric's 'round tuit' list. Donald Infernal Optimist / Submariner, retired |

Yah, I think we've talked about WUs like these in other threads. Weren't all the previous mentions v6s? I notice that in both of these examples, one of the so-called valid tasks isn't really. Yah, I think we've talked about WUs like these in other threads. And neither WU has a 'canonical result' yet. |

Yah, I think we've talked about WUs like these in other threads. Sorry, I just looked at the results tables, didn't check the stderr.txt files. One Error while Computing, one Successful Completion, Validated and Granted Minimal Credit. That would have been in mid-June when Eric ran the fixer script on, IIRC, some stuck v6 WUs, and it got some v7s as well. But still, since the WorkUnit is marked as Validated, even though no Canonical Result has been declared, no Resends will be generated. And with no Canonical Result, the Transistioners cannot call for Assimilation or deletion of the WU or Task files, or Database Purge. So they sit and wait until Eric or his helpers figure out a fix. Yah, I think we've talked about WUs like these in other threads. Okay, thanks all, will just wait it out. |
