Remember the flooding that caused HD prices to go crazy. Loks like we will be seeing the same for memory too. http://www.kitguru.net/components/memory/faith/far-east-memory-shipments-on-hold-after-hynix-explosions/ SETI@home classic workunits: 93,865 CPU time: 863,447 hours Join the BP6/VP6 User Group[ |

Well I've got 10 months before my next video card upgrade happens so hopefully I'll miss this. Hynix is saying that it will not be a big deal. http://www.theregister.co.uk/2013/09/04/dont_panic_says_hynix_china_fab_explosion_is_no_big_deal/ |

Even though the manufacturer says it wont be an impact. I wonder what the retailers will do just to make more profit.
Old James |

Even though the manufacturer says it wont be an impact. I wonder what the retailers will do just to make more profit. After what the manufacturers just went through recently over price fixing I don't think that they would try and push their luck so soon either with the watchdogs that are around now. SSD's might be another story though, but there are plenty of manufacturers who will be eager to take up the slack here as well to better fill their production capacity (their gear up time will be the big factor here though). Cheers. |

Even though the manufacturer says it wont be an impact. I wonder what the retailers will do just to make more profit. Apparently the whole thing with the hard drives as actually the supply chain people buying up the stock from the manufactures. Then jacking up their prices. Leading to higher retail prices. However, It is good to find out that the initial reports were wrong. SETI@home classic workunits: 93,865 CPU time: 863,447 hours Join the BP6/VP6 User Group[ |
