Is there any harm to the phone or tablet with running the processors 100% at night while plugged in?

I have been running my S3 that way since the release of the seti ap. One thing to consider, if running maximum cores the charge rate may not be enough to make headway charging the battery. Also to be aware of is the heat generated. While at home I leave my phone on top of my computer exhaust fan.

Stefan Mohr on the Google BOINC Android Testing Group suggested the following on the 13th:

One thing you can also try, if your phone gets too hot: lay it on something made of metal. I'm using a put at the moment ;-)
Without that my phone was only able to crunch on one core without overheating, now two cores are crunching, while keeping the phone at 42°C (outside it's 23°C). Everything with a Galaxy Note N7000.

So I tried it last night, I put it on top of my computer case too, right next to the cooler's exhaust vent, now my HTC One S isn't even Hot or Warm to the touch.
