How about adding code to automatically capture screenshots for the completed WU that results with a score of interest? |

We don't know they are of interest as they are being processed. In fact, every WU contains some result. It takes repeated signals from the same area of the sky to be considered "interesting". This would mean that your BOINC process would have to be in constant contact with the servers. this is unlikely to happen because of bandwidth restrictions. THANKS Skilldude. I understand, but; what I mean is that I am interested in checking out the work units that shows a signal that is strong enough to generate the graph for best gausian, pulse or triplet. I would welcome a simple screenshot. -a simple subroutine, not for feedback or or confirmation. |

The scientists involved on this project are collecting the data to compare it to other data. They do have a set criteria that determines if the returned result is actually from earth or not. Signal is too strong or RFI is kicked out. What they dont want is everyone thinking they have ET and reporting every result back here. We have one person that has no life and occasionally brings up his "candidate" signals. All of which are meaningless without corroboration from at least one other User like yourself. Now you can still look on your account page and sort through your completed WU's and collect the data yourself, however you should know the servers are tallying about 1 million data points a day. you can see how overwhelming a task it would be to have everyone keeping their own tally while also keeping up with just to overall results. This project set out to look for ETI. They are shorthanded and understaffed so the likelihood of doing something that would cause more panic than would help is an unlikelihood.
