Hallo all! Is there a way to have Starry Night software interact with boinc? It worked greatly with S@h classic, but doesn't seem to cope with boinc. thank you, TLG |

I have Starry Night Pro 5 and it's a nice and quite realistic astronomy program. One of the features is a "spaceship" mode where you can "fly" to anyplace supported by the program (at least 700 million light years). And yes, you can exceed the speed of light! I would think the Starry Night people would benefit quite a bit in increased sales by catering to us Seti folks. A new or modified plugin would be necessary, but the program already can update satellite and asteroid data. Adding the locations of a Seti WU's should pose much of a challenge (for the Starry Night programmers). http://www.starrynight.com/ |

Well, the 4.5 plugin really was great, showing the area covered by your actual WU, and datas about the WU itself (cpu time, peaks, triplets, and usual stuff). Unfortunately I'm not a programmer, but I really hope someone will try adapting the old plugin to the new S@h. |
