Please, no twenty word posts or such.
But........let's give it a try.

No limits on responses.

But, keep a lid on it.

Maybe, twenty words on this one.
I will not keep an evil eye on the word limit.....but I own the thread, so if somebody gets overexuberant, I will step in.

First post.......

Clint Eastwood is God.

So is John......

This is a 35yo tune.

The vocals are still amazing to me.

Moleeeeeeeeeeeeeeena. Whear ya go'in to?

As is the freakin' bass line.

And you can possibly document the few truly excellent documented sax solos in rock and roll history.

Good question too......

Anybody else EVER had a girlfriend named Molina?

I mean, this was not a dark skinned gurl at the time.
Think back 30 years. Oh, Lord. She was thin and bony.
Fast and sleek as a young built pony.
Wow, she wuz fast.

Meow.

This might be as good a place to post this as any.

Smut.

I have long standing reservations with the rest of you about the use of language.
Or, at least certain portions or words insituated within my language.
This is a lesser kind of statement than the one I would usually employ upon you somewhat more ignorant folks.

I know I have endeared myself to many here.
I also know that along the way, I have angered a few.

I have problems sorting who is who at times.\\\\

Grrrrrrrrr.\\

Ok, let me just say this, then.

Nothing comes of nothing. Nothing ever could.
So, somewhere in my youth or childhood..........

I must have done something good.

I like this song and have since I was a kid (I had to ask my mother to explain the line about Lady Chatterley). There is nothing remotely objectionable in the song itself, despite what it's about. Out of the several times you have posted it recently, I chose this one to actually click the link and play it.

I think it likely that your difficulty in sorting us is that most of us have felt both ways about you, at one time or another, depending on what you said.

Well, that's part and parcel of the wonderful things that make me......me.
I am not above making fun of myself at times.
Even I have to sit back and wonder once in a while.........did I really say that?
And then sit back on my haunches and meow back at myself.

Case in point....
Dearly departed George Carlin is one of my most treasured people.
And yet, I have difficulty watching a few of his clips when he starts dissing God, who I revere even more than himself.

Or my dear love of old Archie Bunker clips. To wit.... Yes....WIT. And although a bit cheeky, somewhat true as well.

I DO have trouble at times with my own statements, and cannot always justify every word I post here.

Self doubt is something that makes us human. And acknowledging that does too.
I do hope that in these few moments of reflection, you realize that I do not consider myself really above any of you.

I may post that way once in a while, given.

I just wish that, when the bulk of what I have said, in total is weighed, it shall lead you to where my heart really is.

For that to be true, we would have to either agree with everything he said, or disagree with everything he said. Such is not possible. Well, I suppose one could conclude that he's a total a****** and ignore everything he says, but then one would miss some good stuff. I think I have a pretty good handle on when he's likely to have said something I don't want to read and I ignore that. I may still be missing good stuff, and I know I'm still getting bad stuff, but I'm satisfied with the balance.

Serious shortage of something.

It must be the impending bacon shortage.

Yes......it is imminent.

Bacon shortages are coming.
For lack of bacon.......

If you eat too much bacon, do you make a pig of yourself?
