I'm getting computation errors on the CUDA-Fermi app that appear to be unrelated to the Keppler problem. (although I'm running a Keppler card - the GT 660) I get:

"SETI@home error -12 Unknown error
cudaAcc_find_triplets erroneously found a triplet twice in find_triplets_kernel
File: d:/Projects/SETI/seti_boinc/client/cuda/cudaAcc_pulsefind.cu
Line: 236"

This same error appears to also be in the CUDA23 app, as a "wingman" with that app (and a non-Keppler card, a GTX 280...) had the same problem.

Sample WU with the problem is 2903962082.

That is a known problem with the Stock GPU apps because of a design decision Nvidia made when they produced the Stock Cuda apps, the Lunatics x41zc app has resolved this problem.

Is anyone working on a fix for the stock app?

The Lunatics have had a fix in for ages :)

I believe that when we go to the V7 units, the Lunatics app will become the "stock" app.

But that has been promised for so very long now I'm starting to wonder if we'll ever see it.

Cheers.

Hey...do hope someone can help.

I had a GTX550ti....no prob.
Just upgraded to a GTX660ti...and every GPU task (spec 6.10 cuda fermi)is stalling with "computation error"

Running Nvidia Driver 314.22

Any help would be much appreciated....Im not a techy....just want it to work.

Incidently, the only other project I run (Milkyway), runs fine on my new GPU.

Please have a quick look at the thread "NVidia driver problems which cause computation errors" above.

Your GTX660ti is a 'Kepler' card, so the second section applies to you. Follow the screenshots to set the environment variable CUDA_GRID_SIZE_COMPAT - copy and paste the text to ensure that you get the spelling exactly right.

Many, many thanks for your prompt reply....this works a treat!!!

I have 2 questions:

1)Will this "CUDA_GRID_SIZE_COMPAT" adversely affect any other applications???

2)What is/where can I read up about this Lunatic app....and is this the best option?

Many thanks in advance.

Kind regards, Peter

no dude I got 650gtx 2 weeks ago just make the environment changes exactly as Richard says and you will be crunching cuda Fermi unit in like 5-30 min each unit
don't use the minus sign make shore you use underscore I made that mistake 48hrs ago after upgrade to quad core
