Ah, could that be why? Maybe I'll have to roll-back, then. Was there a particular version that switched to SDK 2.6 requirement? Yes, its 1812. But in all honesty we haven`t tested early drivers. I will do that in a few days. And you are right it wouldn`t work at all. With each crime and every kindness we birth our future. |

I am running cat 13.4 with latest 7.0.64 BONIC client, and all is well with ATI WU's - Beta drivers break computing WU's. |

Yep, I got 13.4 on Windows 7 as well - I noticed it uses less CPU than 12.8 in general. A bit more than 13.1, but still less in overall elapsed time. (Binary caches cleared with every driver change, of course.) Regarding the SDK 2.6 requirement for AP r1812 - are there new 2.6-only instructions added to r1812 or is it the case that r1812 has only been tested with SDK 2.6? Either way, it seems to be working the majority of the time on SDK 2.5. Is there a similar requirement for MB r1817? Soli Deo Gloria |

I think friday i have time to test it. With each crime and every kindness we birth our future. |

Catalyst 13.4 has been okay for me in Windows 7 (in terms of both performance and stability), but that's just my experience on low-end AMD APUs. 12.8 might have marginally better performance, but I find the CPU usage is a lot higher. Regarding recent AP/MB ATI releases, I think we can say the SDK 2.6 requirement isn't a strict rule, then. (: Soli Deo Gloria |

I have tested all new apps under SDK 2.5 today. All working fine on my host. But beware it might be GPU/host depended. It probably will not work on each config. The latest catalyst drives work fine. I'm surprised they don't suit your card. what model is it? As I said, it's custom HP AMD Radeon HD 7450 DP http://h30094.www3.hp.com/product/sku/10402903 I have tried multiple versions of drivers from AMD site but they don't work. So I downloaded the newest from HP site. Currently they are at 12.1. Will the new APP work with 12.1? days go by, and still I think of you... |

The latest catalyst drives work fine. I'm surprised they don't suit your card. what model is it? What APP runtime does it have? Does it even supply the APP runtime? What does GPUCapsViewer say? you want the link half way down the page where it says 'Zip archive (no installation required)' A normal Cat 12.1 driver should have APP runtime 851.4 Claggy |

The latest catalyst drives work fine. I'm surprised they don't suit your card. what model is it? Wedge says the latest catalyst work fine for him, what he doesn't say is he is not running Stock Astropulse but he is running the Fixed Apps by Raistmer that work fine for every version of catalyst except possibly 13.1. If you are not running AP r1812 or higher or MB r1817 or higher you will get Computational errors on any catalyst above 12.8 as always YMMV |

The latest catalyst drives work fine. I'm surprised they don't suit your card. what model is it? That may or may not work, that APP runtime is two SDK versions later than with what the driver originally shipped with. Have you installed a Catalyst driver from the AMD site? There is a problem with uninstalling the driver, while the driver and CCC gets uninstalled, the files get left behind in System32 and SysWOW64 directories, and an older installer won't overwrite newer files leaving a newer APP runtime installed, uninstalling the driver via the Catalyst uninstaller, then running the Uninstall utility, then rebooting should remove these newer files, then you should be free to install that HP driver, and whatever APP runtime comes with it.
