Hi, Actually, 3 Part question. 1. I'm a long time seti@home cruncher. My 3.XX work (non-boinc) WUs completed I think was up to 1460. I'm in the Army and moved to Korea for a year. My account under classic seti@home is still active but tied to my now closed email address @irwin.army.mil I tried to "register" the account at BOINC and it was successful, sending an email to my @irwin.army.mil (closed) address. Is it possible to actually contact the project admin people and have them merge my accounts for combining of credit? 2. I'm new to BOINC crunching and was wondering one thing on granted credit. At any given point, I seem to have ~70 WUs sent, claimed credit, and pending granted credit. Is this normal? When I'm actually granted credit, that is when my Total Credit number goes up correct? 3. Lastly, I have a AMD64 FX-55 processor and a beta version of WindowsXP-64Bit Edition (the one MS is giving 1 year testing licenses too). I am considering trying it out and figured if there was a Windows based 64 Bit version of the Client available, that would be an actual reason for me to test the new O/S. Is there such a version? Sorry for the long post, and thanks for your help. Alex |

1) I am afraid without access to the old email you will not be able to merge your accounts. If you still have your password to the old seti you can update your email address there and cross your fingers. They may be merged when (if) the final snapshot is taken. 2) 3 matching results must be returned before credit is granted. This can take some time, but after a few weeks you should start seeing a more or less constant rate of old results being granted and new results pending. 3) There is currently no 64bit version of BOINC or the worker app. The source is available so you can compile one yourself. Thanks for answering. I guess my classic stuff is just gone..no biggie. I thought I was fairly computer literate, but the instructions/steps on compiling my own 64 bit version seems a little bit past my ability. Alex |
