What are groups for S.E.T.I., what do they do? The work groups thing. Does it concentrate the work your computer does for a specific thing / field? Any and all information would be useful, and, if so, any information regarding which groups to preferably join to best contribute to S.E.T.I..

I've a beast of a computer I purchased to be able to handle most games at hundreds of frames per second, and totally didn't consider the fact that I now no longer play games, I just work online almost all day on rather low intensive processes. xD Haha.

I'm not sure what you mean by "groups". Are you referring to teams? If so, they're just groups of members, sometimes focused around a common interest or enterprise, like alumni of a certain college, or former military personnel by branch of service. Some teams will accept anyone as a new member, others are by invite only. There is no added benefit to either belonging or not belonging to a team.

Yes, sorry, that was what I meant.

Thanks, I was just wondering what they are for. Doesn't seem like much of anything. xD
