It seems China is finally getting worried about N. Korea. Why else would they agree with sanctions. Its about time they stopped aiding and abetting. Is it just empty threats that N.Korea is saying? Who knows. But S.Korea should go on high alert mobilize the entire miltary. If the North did invade they would find a much better army than they did in 1950. Ive talked with a few vets of Viet Nam and Iraq who said that the ROK troops were feared by the opposing forces.
Old James |

Just wonder if NK actually does abrogate the cease fire if this time they have a two front war. |

Just wonder if NK actually does abrogate the cease fire if this time they have a two front war. You mean a 100,000 Chinese troops crosssing the Yalu river again?
Old James |

Just wonder if NK actually does abrogate the cease fire if this time they have a two front war. Yep, only this time the Chinese might be carrying the UN flag. |

Just wonder if NK actually does abrogate the cease fire if this time they have a two front war. ...which in that respect will be good. However, if it happens that way, the door will be opened wide for China to enter the fold so to speak - Anyone want to start up a Mandarin/Cantonese language class? |

Just wonder if NK actually does abrogate the cease fire if this time they have a two front war. One way or the other China will enter the world. You have to remember that most of China's dealings with other countrys in the past few centuries has not been what China would call pleasent. Back in 75 I think when Viet Nam started to act a little spunky China sent in an army to tell them to cool it. Im really suprised they have put up with N. Koreas wayward ways for so long until now. I wonder what the trigger was?
Old James |

Just wonder if NK actually does abrogate the cease fire if this time they have a two front war. Perhaps they are worried about some crazy fool having territorial aspirations north of the Yalu River? |

Is it just empty threats that N.Korea is saying? Who knows. But is there a difference here? I'd say, yes. It's been proven they're doing nuclear testing. The item that's been the butt of jokes has been the delivery system-their missile technology. I've heard no such joking of their nuclear tests. |

I got home this morning and low and behold N. Kores says it will nuke the US if Un sanctions are passed. And here I was hoping that the son was not a whack job like his father. And the white house states its just rehtorical blathering. Well lets hope so. I would take the threat damn well serious.
Old James |

Perhaps Obama should say that the US received the latest request from NK for glassification and that the request is being studied for rapid implementation. |

I think you will find that such sabre rattling is mainly for internal consumption. NK just does not have the resources to launch a mass strike against the US and they'd be fully aware of what would happen if they lobbed only one or two missiles at the US. To attempt such an act would be like the Japanese attacking Pearl Harbour with only a couple of Tiger Moths. It would be interesting to know what discussions are going on between the US and China atm. While China and NK are nominally allies, there is no way China would want the crazies starting a blue that would severely mess up their part of the world. I think you would find, if it came to the crunch, China would move against NK before the US did as they have a lot more to lose. T.A. |

Lets hope it is sabre rattling. The latest from the BBC. North Korea ends peace pacts with South North Korea says it is scrapping all non-aggression pacts with South Korea, closing its hotline with Seoul and shutting their shared border point. |
