It would be really nice if BOINC could be delayed for a few minutes when the computer is starting up.
It's bad enough to have to wait for Windows to load up, but BOINC seems to grab all the CPU cycles immediately.
This seems to slow down the initialization of other processes.

Also: If you suspend BOINC, it will automatically restart when the computer starts again...

If you're always sitting in front of the computer when it starts up, the best thing to do is pin BOINC to your start menu, and then remove it from your startup load. However this relies on you remembering to load it from the Start menu when everything else has finished churning away.

You can also assign BOINC as a screensaver only, which means when you walk away from your computer for a while it will start up automatically.

Else the best thing to do is fetch a cup of tea while you wait for the computer to load everything up.
