Geekness verified and validated. Now if the judges speak basic.. you might have a chance.

This is repeated fairly often.

Please be very careful when posting photos to make sure they are "free to use".

There are a couple on the "count to x" thread that clearly state that the material is under copyright to a named person, and on check the person's website there is a notice that requires permission before any use the pictures.

I'm sure you don't want to get S@H, or yourselves into trouble with the law. So please make certain you can post the photos BEFORE posting, not after.

Perhaps it needs adding to to the rules! I actually count 7 that could be a problem

11616
11618
11619
11622
11624
11647

There are others but I am not sure of the copyright laws

I always post as a "link" I don't copy the picture, I suppose if the picture actually has the word "copyright" we should not use it?

I always just use the image's existing URL. I don't save them and repost on another site (even my own). I admit I don't know how the copyright laws view this action. I'll be a bit more careful.

[edit]
I do know, however, that anything and everything is automatically the copyrighted property of its creator as soon as it's created (with a lot of corporate complications mixed in for commercial works).

If you have one.. how far across (width) is the actual cutting blade?

(and yes I am wondering about potato chips)

LOL, Janice...
I was about to post that a certain potato chip lover of ours might find such a tool to her liking.

I know you are looking for the perfect tool.

for the best.. heat up some oil, peel some potatoes, and then with the peeler peel off slices and drop them in the oil. When they stop bubbling they are done, pick them out and set to drain, sprinkle with salt.

Still wondering if the truffle peeler might work better for slicing them
