http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/results.php?userid=71946&offset=0&show_names=0&state=6&appid= I do think that giving 13 minute windows (time to report - time sent) is a bit on the silly side, it does nothing for the effective utilisation of resources (both Berkeley's and personal) and just creates unnecessary work ... can someone please look into how this can be avoided in future cheers |

http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/results.php?userid=71946&offset=0&show_names=0&state=6&appid= We cannot see that link, you have to link to the task. But I suspect it was a ghost VLAR task, one that did not get downloaded when first allocated to the CPU. It was then re-allocated, on a later request, to the GPU, which does not do VLAR tasks. The quick band-aid, chewing gum fix is to give it an immediate report time, so that your computer doesn't try to do it and waste lots of GPU processing time and get it re-allocated correctly on another host. |

re the above, there are about 17 with a 13 minute window... That's the way it usually works. A LOT of them at once. They go away and you can resume normality. Or you could abort them all and resume normality. Best thing to do is to just leave them alone. |

re the above, there are about 17 with a 13 minute window... See Richard Haselgrove's post 1112328 for a clear explanation of those impossible deadlines. Joe |
