I am the distributed computing manager for http://www.readyresponse.org Every week I post stats to show how well our members are doing as compared to other teams. Currently, it appears that the BOINC stats are not merged with the classic client stats. Is there any way to fix this? Please e-mail a response to distcomp@sbcgloabl.net as i may not catch it here. Thanks, -hackman |

This will not be fixed as the measurements are different. You can however merge the stats of several BOINC projects as they all use the same measurement. The current projects are: http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc http://lhcathome.cern.ch -- currently down. Should come back up in the next couple of weeks. http://predictor.scripps.edu -- currently down. Will be back sometime. Comming: http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu Possible in the future: Nano design Fight aids(FightAids@Home) Protein folding (Folding@Home) and others. None of the projects will give out more work than is scientifically useful. This means that times any project could be out of work. The possible exception to running out of work is CPDN. BOINC WIKI |

Hmm... how could I merge stats from multiple projects... we are actually considering focusing on the BOINC projects. ;) -hack > This will not be fixed as the measurements are different. > Hmm... how could I merge stats from multiple projects... we are actually > considering focusing on the BOINC projects. ;) > Each user has a Cross Project ID. The Cross Project ID may change with time, and while it is changing that user may have more than one identity. Most of the time for most of the projects, the CPIDs for an individual user will be the same across projects. The one warning is that users must use the same email address for all projects with the same capitalization to get this to work. The stats XML files are similar, although not identical in structure. The only way to match teams is by team name or founder. BOINC WIKI |
