Now the Scheduler is working fine, thanks to Eric of course. The problem here is with the DL, have a lot of WU to DL but at my side of the world, DL are to slow (<0,5Kbps even with proxy) so all ended in a project backoff msg. But leave that for tomorrow, now is beer time... good night to all crunchers. |

Interesting. A couple of hours ago, I reported 3 tasks and didn't request new work, and it took two seconds for the scheduler to acknowledge the completed tasks. This time, it took 19 seconds to give me "couldn't connect to server." Gave it a few minutes and tried again, 22 seconds for the same thing. Oh well, I'll try again in the morning. While i was at work, it appears Eric managed to get the Sheduler back to life. However about an hour ago the Scheduler responses turned back in to "Server returned nothing (no headers, no data)" & "Failure when receiving data from the peer" & have now turned in to "Couldn't connect to server". And the network traffic has fallen like a stone again. Grant Darwin NT |

According to the news (http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/forum_thread.php?id=70111) Eric rebooted the scheduler, but noticed all was not well. A few hours later everything stopped again, and Eric noted that he was awaiting the "lab tech boys" to arrive, sometime on Friday (CA time) unless they are partaking of the uni-wide holiday... (It is worth remembering that Eric worked on one of America's biggest holidays, and his last post was at a time most folks in CA would be in bed - now that's dedication above and beyond the call of duty) Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

Hey there Chris! Yeah, what Eric did yesterday... going into the lab instead of stuffing his face with Stuffing:) Like someone said, way above and beyond the call of duty! Happy leftovers to the US setizens and everyone else enjoy the weekend! See ya Monday/Tuesday |

Having finally received work for main crunching PC the other day , today I have project down messages... I lost a few returns last time , hope this is not a major problem again !! I hate to lose credit because of failure to report :/ Thumbs up for the holiday work , but it has not fixed the problem it seems. ( we do not have that holiday here in the U.K. ) I have NO cuda work again and the cpu work is running out too. :-( Chris. |

Having finally received work for main crunching PC damn. Sorry .. I do read the forum and normally do not post ( as you probably gather ) Just got home again and read this thread .. ( after a quick scan of thread titles in this section ) as this has been the most informative and just thought there was no real update. Sorry for the knee-jerk post.. I do not normally do that. :D Thank you for the link too :-) Chris |

damn. Don't worry. It's hot off the presses. It's easy to miss posts in other parts of the forum if you are not bored and looking all over the place. :) |

Cricket is up to limit again. Somebody in Seti@Home lab did something to kick scheduler up again. Thank You! "Please keep Your signature under four lines so Internet traffic doesn't go up too much" - In 1992 when I had my first e-mail address - |

Help to make the SETI dilithium crystals stronger! Looks like they used my donation to pay someone to go in flip the switch. Nice to see such instant results, well worth $10. |

Looks like they used my donation to pay someone to go in flip the switch. Nice to see such instant results, well worth $10. Ah if I had known that I would have donated 2 days ago and we would have avoided the outage. Now 3 out of 4 of my PCs still cannot get through because there is a feeding frenzy going on and the bandwidth is saturated. Solve one problem create another. I don't suppose the bandwidth is coin operated as well? |

Overnight, a few hours ago, i managed to report & download some work. About 50 minutes ago i got a Scheduler timout again, then failure when receiving data from the peer, now it's nothing but couldn't connect to server, repated over & over again. Looks like still more work is required. Grant Darwin NT |
