Well it certainly looks like one of these similar to the one we had.

Well it certainly looks like one of these similar to the one we had. Yes, but it isn't one of those. ____________ BOINC WIKI

Hint for the day: Most of them do not have handles. Most of them are wooden.

Here is a picture that looks like a pretty good match.

Here is a picture that looks like a pretty good match. Close enough. The one I saw was labeled as a hamburger press. ____________ BOINC WIKI

My mum had one of those and we called it a "jaffle iron".

My mum had one of those and we called it a "jaffle iron". Except the shape inside is wrong for waffles. ____________ BOINC WIKI

A tool to cut cheese. | |

Hmmmmmmmmmmm.... it looks like a mezzaluna, which is a curved (half moon) knife typically used for mincing large piles of fresh herbs.

Well it's not made for cutting cheese but it does. I guess any cutting tool does and no not a mezzaluna. I don't know the exact scale but it at least 14" across.

"We have ways of making you talk" tool. Another potential use, but not it's intended one.

It looks like it is a part of a larger whole. It looks like the blade from a paper cutter. Perhaps it is for slicing meat?

It looks like it is a part of a larger whole. It looks like the blade from a paper cutter. Perhaps it is for slicing meat? It's all there. It will slice meat, but that's not really it's intended purpose.

If the hole isn't a pivot, then it must be for hanging it on a nail.

Very many thanks for the PM Carlos, appreciated. But I would never ever have known that it was called a Mezzaluna, without Angelas post. I therefore think that she should in all fairness be awarded the win. She was so close anyway with herbs.
