FOR STARTERS --Johnnie my son,

Can you opine on whether or not an electron is a black hole.

Doesn't it meet the Schwarzchild radius definition ??

Oooer!

As a certain Deep Thought intoned:

Tricky.

Or... As a scientist might say:

Interesting.

Daddio,
And electron is an electron, no matter what way you look at it. Never heard anyone saying it might be a black hole. I think the Wikipedia page has the radius of the electron; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electron

Same question again Martin,
Do you know what a Barycenter is?

Yes. Do you?

Show me "scientific proof", testable, repeatable proof, that black holes are NOT Barycenters!

And so jelly sweets can be coloured pink and French honey can be coloured purple. Your point is?

Martin i am very arrogant and very aggressive. But i tell you one thing, i have a very good reason to be arrogant and aggressive! I'm very serious about what i do.

'Tis good to be impassioned. You still need to recant your lies and deceit slurs that you have made against honest scientists. Especially against those on and behind these forums.

Note that I consider myself to be a scientist and an engineer. You personally insult me and my kind?

Regards,
Martin

Now Martin i did not insult YOU. If your offended, then this is your problem, not mine. I insulted the scientists that stand on high pedestals (News and media)and preach "bad science" without checking if everything is correct. And i named them too.

No, i won't apologise under any circumstances. I will continue to insult those who stand on their high horses and preach bad science. I will continue to point out blatant bad science.

High horses, like this:
I haven't met anyone here who seems to have knowledge of the subjects involved in genetics

?

Or this:
I'm very good with genetics

?

It probably helps to have an understanding of good science before pointing out bad science.
I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that ...

Odd, there's a wiki page on the subject. The idea forms a part of some of the more speculative works on physics. Didn't you say that you'd studied the fields you criticize?

Forgive him Tullio he knows not what he reads. I dont claim to understand all science. But I do have a firm grip on the basics.

Also the firm evidence and video evidence that APOD has posted in the past clearly shows the signs of a black hole. If these aren't black holes then they are some unknown force that look and act as the objects we describe as black holes.

Sorry to say that Discussing science with JG is like talking to a wall. You always get the same monocolored answer.

Quite honestly I really didnt think this was a topic for debate. Its a really cool article. Why anyone would think it was part of a debate is beyond me

You are right. I shall stop posting. There is no worse deaf that he who does not want to hear.

OK. I've just read that a halo of hot baryons surrounds our Galaxy. Maybe they are a part of the "missing mass" envisaged by Fritz Zwicky in 1935, before it was called "dark matter" (a bad name, I agree). Cheers.

Well put, thanks.

Sorry Johnney, resorting to unsubstantiated insults means you've lost whatever discussion you thought you might have been part of. Certainly no problem of mine.

Before that happens, consider this: -

1: We're all human
2: We all make mistakes
3: It takes all sorts to make a world
4: Why, they sometimes make hilarious reading
5: Life is made easier if we can laugh at ourselves every now & again.

The rules here are quite clear. No real need for further comment.
No messages intended to annoy or antagonize other people, or to hijack a thread.
No messages that are deliberately hostile or insulting.
No abusive comments involving race, religion, nationality, gender, class or sexuality.

The Mods apply those rules fairly and reasonably. I have to yet again agree with Sirius.

think you'd better start hitting the "good stuff"....

Scientists seem to think that there is energy out there in the universe that at present we can't see or detect, or even tap into to use. The Starwars series called it the "Force". We have named it dark matter or dark energy. It may not exist, it may do, we do not at this juncture know one way or the other.

There is no point anyone getting hot under the collar about it, because it can't be proved or disproved. We are all entitled to our opinions.

I will continue to insult those who stand on their high horses and preach bad science. I will continue to point out blatant bad science.

That is not a helpful statement Johnney and you may wish to reconsider that. You should learn not to get frustrated just because people choose not to agree with you.

Chris,
Hang on here for one minute! I insulted "astronomers and cosmologists" in general, and their science, and i named the groups. Even worse, i'm attacking them for what i know is bad science. Then Martin took personal offence even though i wasn't insulting Martin. This is not my problem, its up to Martin to realise my insults were not pointed at him.

And i, and many other people, serious professional scientists, KNOW there is something seriously wrong with our fundamental physics and astronomy. Its not a secret cult, its not a conspiracy, its not a small number of people, its the vast majority of people who work in astronomy and physics. Everyone knows there is something wrong, and everyone is desperately trying to find what is wrong! Hugh amounts of money are being spent trying to solve this problem.

So until such time as the astronomers and physicists have resolved the paradoxes and inconsistencies in out current knowledge, every idea and theory needs to be examined. Until we have the FULL SET OF RULES that govern science, everything needs to be criticised and thoroughly examined. And that means being suspicious of ALL scientific theories. It means criticising the papers that physicists and astronomers are publishing. It means attacking theories to find any flaws in the science.

And that is what i am doing. I am criticising astronomical theories to expose any underlying flaws that may exist in these theories. So the work i do is very important, and i'm not the only one doing it. Thousands of scientists are doing the same thing as me. Looking to find where we are going wrong. If there is bad science, or mistakes in our current understanding, we need to find the mistakes.

John.

Then you need to find those mistakes. Criticising without any backup is insulting to all.

Whats your point?

I have found the mistakes, and i point them out here on these forums. And i do provide all the information needed to understand what i am explaining.

Example;
My claim; There are no black holes.
Evidence/Proof; They cannot be detected with any man-made scientific instrument.
Explanation; They are Barycenters

Whats difficult about that? It seems simple to me? What part don't you understand?

So why attack them only on this forum? Why not register with their forums & attack them directly? At least they can answer you there - they cannot here!

Ahhhhh..... cos they don't have a forum or message boards where i can personally insult them!
And cos this is where i hang out in my spare time to entertain myself.
