Interesting...some folks getting "too much gpu" and "not enough cpu" work and I have cpu disabled and cannot get enough gpu work. Life is not fair :-)

Cheers

There seems to be a shortage of CPU WUs. I have one box at least whose CPU cores are sitting idle (and not for a lack of requesting as I've watched the log) and although it gets GPU WUs whenever it asks, not a single CPU one in nigh two days.

Scheduler will keep filling gpu requests first so long as BOINC is asking for GPU work. You can lower the cache setting until BOINC thinks it has enough gpu work and only asks for cpu work. But the quickest fix is to turn off gpu fetch in your S@H preferences (use Nvidia GPU). That only impacts work fetch, not the processing of work on hand. Change it back when you have enough cpu work.

Great tip; worked a treat!

Glad something worked for somebody. I haven't had a full cache but once in the past couple of weeks and have seen no,none, nada, zip work for several days.

At least you got that.
I was struggling to even get work allocated. That's no longer a problem now uploads aren't going through- i can't request any new work till they clear.
Should be out of CPU work in a couple of hours on both of my systems.

Started with 300 downloads stalling down to 95 now. Uploads are going through just taking a long time, almost exactly the same as last Saturday night. That lasted till the Tuesday outage. Hope it clears quicker this time.
