Hello,

I have exactly the same problem submitted here : http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/forum_thread.php?id=68305

I have about about 20 work units from SETI and LHC waiting to be uploaded since two days...without success.

I tried to create my own cc_config.xml, force HTTP/1.0, don't contact ref sites, changed my DNS (to openDNS rather than my ISPs) and flushed my cache.
It only upload 16kb of data and these wu are about to expire in 4 days...

Here is a good example of what happens (event log)
14/08/2012 00:00:52 | SETI@home | Started upload of 09dc10ac.16478.92617.12.10.104_2_0
14/08/2012 00:06:02 | SETI@home | Temporarily failed upload of 09dc10ac.16478.92617.12.10.104_2_0: transient HTTP error
14/08/2012 00:06:02 | SETI@home | Backing off 1 hr 31 min 53 sec on upload of 09dc10ac.16478.92617.12.10.104_2_0

If someone could help me.

PS : I'm sorry to open another thread in another section, but for some reason I don't have enough credits to post in "number crunching".

Where did you create the cc_config file? It needs to be in the BOINC data directory, not the BOINC executable directory. In Windows 7, the default location for this directory is c:\programdata\BOINC. Note that programdata is a hidden directory. If you have not found client_state.xml, you have not found the BOINC data directory.

Try to use Proxy server:

or Hotspot Shield:
