here's the short version, after a work transfer, I have not used seti ( Boinc ) for a few years, now trying to get back online, I could not remember my old password. if I submitted a password email request , it would have gone to my old non-existing account. So I opened up another account :) now, is there anyway of getting my old credits and original start date transfered to this account ? |

How long ago was it that you used to crunch? Was it a SETI Classic account? If so, there's instructions on the front page for SETI@Home Classic participants that allows you to combine your accounts. If it wasn't too long ago, and your old account was a BOINC account, then there is no way to transfer credits at all. |

However there may be a way of recovering the information if you have one of: 1) a backup of the BOINC data directory from the old account. 2) Access to the email (you may be able to buy the domain or get the admin from the domain to forward one email to you). BOINC WIKI |
