I've been seeing this message for a while now - looks like a server might have gone down. Anyone else?

Darn it - and I just changed my queue from 3 days to 1 day last week, thinking the admins had resolved the server issues. Oh well, that will teach me.

But there can't be a problem! Server status shows all is well!

(just kidding, as I know server status has never really worked! It only seems to be correct if everything IS working...)

Would be nice if they would wait until they have the server working properly before they put it online. Oh well, rushing in like the rest of the world.

I've been seeing that for a few hours now, I dropped my preferences to mainly because I didn't want to download any of the new 4.08 applications until I had almost run out of the 4.07 applications I had on my Disks is case there was a problem, that way I wouldn't lose so many WU's. But I have enough to get thru the weekend so they will probably be back up by then, I hope so anyway ...

I just did a manual "update" and the scheduler did respond. Maybe it's just system loading, perhaps because of the 4.08 client???

They are also having problems over on the SETI Classic side trying to contact their server. The server status page "http://setiathome2.ssl.berkeley.edu/sstatus.html" shows there is a problem. I think SETI Classic and SETI BOINC share the same data link.

I have been unable to view the Berkeley crickets for a few days now. Can anyone get them or is it just me?

Ok, seems that Berkeley is makeing some changes to their network. Here is the new Cricket for the data link that is used for SETI.

http://fragment1.berkeley.edu/~cricket/inr-668-interfaces.html

From this you can see where the data rate dropped off and has now come back up. However, there will probably be some trouble connecting to the server until the backlog is gone.

it looks like, the poject is unable to run one full week without having problems.

And they think to welcome 500'000+ more users?

How?
