When i hooked seti@home up to my other slower laptop with same user name its giving errors when trying to do a project.Am i messing things up adding another laptop especially a slower model ??Thanks

OK ALL IS WELL ,i guess cause it has no GF its a lil slower, ALOT slower, lol, However will this help adding and completing more Task with 2 laptops going,or is this just breaking the workup into 2 laptops ?

SETI@Home treats each computer on your account as a separate client. Having two laptops on a single account does not divide up any sort of total number of workunits allowed per account between the two laptops. In fact, the limit is per device, not per account.

Ergo, while my answer was not incredibly obvious, it was correct. Adding more machines to your account will help you get more work done.

Just remember rule #1:

Run SETI@home only on authorized computers

Run SETI@home only on computers that you own, or for which you have obtained the owner's permission. Some companies and schools have policies that prohibit using their computers for projects such as SETI@home.
