This is my little old PC i rebuilded just for crunching data, i bought a new vCard 450 GTS, and a new Supply to provide power to it .... and it s not a big PC .... it s a :

and when i download WUs to crush i m getting sometimes these odds :
"Giving up on download of..."
???? why ???
sometimes the download is ok as stated in bold txt, and sometimes it doesnt try to download them :S :(

and instead to retry to download, why boinc give up ? instead to write them all as ERROR right away, why BOINC never try to retry 1-2 times ??
Giving up on download, file not found, means that the file is not found at the server, and trying again would be a complete waste of time and bandwidth as something has happened to the file at the server.
