Somebody had to say it......so I shall.

Pulleeeeeeeeeez stop the whining about how badly the Seti servers are behaving and how you can't get any work and how you can connect to Amazon but not to Seti.

Constructive comments, of course, are always welcome. But if you have nothing to say except the obvious.......give it a break. I make my own comments about the lack of work, the servers being cantankerous, the bandwidth being nonforgiving, etc.....

But save the comments about how terrible things are for the moment you leave the project, and then just hit the freakin' detach button and save the rest of us believers the freakin' grief.

Yeah...
And while I truly don't want to see anybody leave the project, reality is this...........

This is the best and most visited project under the Boinc umbrella. And has of late, been showing it's growing pains.

There are many who have been doing all that they can to help the project grow through their donations and the GPUUG efforts to bolster the hardware supporting it.

If you can take the time to biatch about it, take another minute to look at the fundraising thread and see what has been done to actually do something about it.
And then give a couple of bucks, dammit. Anything.......

I am leaving the project forever.

Maybe I should not diss those who taunt us with 'threats' about leaving the project.
After all, they will not be missed in about 30 seconds after their departure.
Even if I detached all my rigs from the project, I suspect it would be some time before somebody picked up the news. Or mews. Or lack of same.

Their parting posts will not be missed, for sure.

Stay with it, friends. Stay the course. The project shall be here crunching along far after you whine about how badly it is going.
