It's the only project in my list with these massive problems for up- and download.

My transmission list is always full. Sometimes shorter, but very often long, with retry messages.

Really boring and no idea for me why it is so difficult to up- and download small files.

Was finally able to upload all my results. However, I have no more work units to do and I cannot download more.

It's by far the most popular project and its internet connection is constantly at full capacity. No other project has that "problem."

This is just a suggestion. For the last few weeks, I've had the same problem with uploads and downloads as everyone else. I used the proxy server that was suggested in another thread to get downloads to go through. This past Saturday, I decided to downgrade the BOINC version I'm running from 6.12.34 to 6.10.60. Haven't had any problems with uploads or downloads since. Everything is going through as it normally would. If you decide to take this action, be sure to "uninstall" the BOINC version you're running, don't just do an upgrade, or you'll blow out your WU cache.

I've just stopped getting more work from seti.
Other projects have less problems.

Your BOINC version (6.12.xx) is likely your problem as I and many others running the older 6.10.xx (6.10.60 is the latest of this version available) don't seem to be having this supply problem.

Cheers.

Now ist works better than before. Thanks.

But yesterday and today my Seti entry was killed by somewhat

This project time most part is in one of following conditions:

1.Project communication failed: attempting access to reference site
2.Internet access OK - project servers may be temporarily down.
3.Message from server: Project has no tasks available

Besides, at quantity of tasks in cache for 6 ours maximum, BOINC manager at inquiry to the server periodically gives out :
Sending scheduler request: Requested by user.
Not reporting or requesting tasks

As a result cashe always it is not filled for 10 days as it is specified in options, and periodically the computer in general stands idle without tasks.

Thus the second project Einstein@home works for me as a Swiss watch.
Such situation lasts any more the first month.

And on page of condition SETI and in project news all looks perfectly.
Command SETI does not find time to inform participants on project problems operatively. As a result the weight of participants potters with the computers, considering that problems in their computers, instead of on servers. It not to name differently, than disrespect for volunteers.

I read an appeal of command CETI to help the project money. Thus a variant of transfer of money only one, and it does not suit me. Unlike other noncommercial projects, for example, WIKI, where I have without effort listed web-money. Command SETI needed to make such call for help only: « Help, money is urgently necessary! We accept only a cash, only at themselves in an office, only from 9-00 till 9-15, and only the first day of each month.»

It is a pity to me this project.

Well, time to detach from this project and do something else. I haven't been able to get a single work unit in a week for whatever reason. Was perfectly fine before that. The problem is not on my end, so I'll just do something else.

That's OK as that'll mean more for the rest of us then, but then I'm still bouncing on/off the limits. :D

Cheers.

You got 19 wu's on the 5th Dec (which is less than a week), you then aborted them half an hour later,

Enough german speaking people around that any question arising in german could be answered in german as well - it would just be a trifle impolite ;)

So you _only_ ran the 6.10.58 installer you still had? maybe BAM has an issue with downgrades... iirc some entries changed between the versions...

NB older recommended versions of BOINC are available from http://boinc.berkeley.edu/download_all.php and ANY boinc version is available from http://boinc.berkeley.edu/dl and I just discovered you can click on the entries on the top for sorting...

It simply sat there and never downloaded them. No progress was ever made on them. I repeatedly retried them and it never did anything. I got frustrated and cancelled them. I never got the work units as I said.
