Agreed, which is why I said I would support graying out the retry button after a number of presses within a certain amount of time (I pulled the number 3 in 15 minutes at random).

From queueing theory we get the (to some people) surprising result that any queue system that is on average more than 75% loaded will get into trouble of one sort or another. The SETI 100Mb link tends to run closer to 90% loaded when it is working well, and 100% usage when it is in recovery mode.

The only long term fix is to get a bigger pipe up the hill.

The one from staff that went to the lab on a Sunday, really should considering getting a life :-)

Nobody here would expect or demand that kind of dedication to the project after all.

Mebbe they just stopped by the lab on their way home from church.

Well, then I must be a heathen. I haven't been to church since my confirmation over 40 years ago.

Not too often there myself. I honor my beliefs in other ways.

Right now I believe I'll hit some buttons.

Buttons yes, I think I'll join you in hitting the "Retry Now" button until either my mouse burns up, or I'll get my allocated WU's downloaded.

LOL

Yes. SETI's are doing all what they can to keep us crunchers happy.

I'm wondering - there are no AP WUs, but bandwidth is full loaded...

There will be some that have been allocated but are still in download queues, there are a lot of shorties (VHAR's) around and these put a lot of strain on bandwidth.
