I'll make a wild wild guess. What we see in the foreground is the smaller mountain/hill where the Armenian Christian monastery of Khor Virap is located (but not visible in this image), but in the background (almost fully hidden behind this smaller mountain/hill) is the more significant mountain of Ararat, the traditional resting place of Noah’s Ark. Unfortunately not, but it was a good attempt. [clue-edit]There are no buildings whatsoever on top of this mountain. But for some short period of time in the past, you could've see something...[/clue-edit] Who the hell is General Failure and why is he reading my harddisk?¿ |

@Sten-Arne Hmm, I don't think that was so easy eh? A few questions? Does it have any connections with Greek Gods, or Alexander the Great? There are no apparent connection to the Greek Gods nor Alexander the Great. Bit of a clue: Past which I mentioned earlier wasn't that distant. Think in years rather than millenia. @LadyL Europe? No, not Europe. Who the hell is General Failure and why is he reading my harddisk?¿ |

so, not North America or Europe, but there are snow capped hills in the background. And there was something on top of it in recent history. South America? Not in South America. Who the hell is General Failure and why is he reading my harddisk?¿ |

Within a month it'll be 10th anniversary of something closely related to our mystery photo and temporary structures that stood briefly on top of that hill. edit: Not in Asia. Is that where the filmed the Lord of the Rings rohan village Yes that's the one. During filming of LOTR every single plant and stone that has to be removed for the set of Edoras to take place, was GPS tagged and reinserted to its original position afterwards. Kudos for Skildude for cracking it up, but win goes to John. See ya in the 26th instance which already awaits. PM sent. Who the hell is General Failure and why is he reading my harddisk?¿ |
