Well that was just a little too easy. So let's see how we get on with this one. Its inside a Church, but that's fairly obvious. All I want is the town and the country. Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

Sadly I know this one... It is the Rose window that formerly graced the Christchurch Cathedral in Christchurch, New Zealand. It collapsed and was destroyed as a result of the earthquakes that struck South Island on February 22nd and June 13th of this year... Sir William, Take a bow - we are in a period of very rapid identifications. I thought that by going antipodean it would slow the deluge down by a few hours. Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

Kotzschmar Memorial Organ in Portland, Maine Nope, not that one. It is a named instrument though, not just known by the building in which it resides... "People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf." - Orwell |

Ok, let me see if I can get this right: You got it Ian! This is indeed the Wanamaker Organ, the largest playable pipe organ in the world. It has the distinction of also being located not in a church, but in the central courtyard of Macy's in Philadelphia... Take it away sir! PM forthcoming...
