I think yes, its worth adding it.

CPU is running at 2.5 GHZ 4 cores with HT enabled.

1500 - 2000 RAC should be possible.

My little ION netbook is on pretty much 24/7 and has been for a year now:)

Cooling is only ever a problem when the vents get dirty. I also tried a 15€ double fan cooler-stand and noticed 2 things:

a) It didn't really cool the laptop
and
b) I'm convinced it blew more dirt in than without using it.
Obviously it's in the trash:)

My CPU is around 60C and GPU around 67C when things are ok. When it goes to 80C I just stick the Hoover on the vents and it drops back down. I'm a barbarian, I know...

Another thing I tried was sticking rubber "feet" (semi-spherical) about 1.5cm height. I have no idea if it helps but I like the placebo effect and have kept them on:)

Glad to hear your cooler works. Mine was probably too cheap.

I'm only guessing, but the GPU (only) should be ok for 1500, if my ION can do around 1200...

My i3-390M notebook was good for about 3500RAC running 18 hours a day with just the CPU. I haven't had a chance to get the GPU going due to no driver with OpenCL support yet. :(

Still rising RAC. Now at 4,539.15.

The little GPU really seem to be doing a good job.

I have been trying to compare the daily numbers from my i3-390M with his notebook, but with everything going on recently it is hard to tell. Several months ago I had a RAC of around 3500 on my notebook. A week or so ago I fired it up to run 24/7. So we can sort of get an idea once our two numbers start to level off.

Also I am not running any AP on my notebook. Where IIRC he is running AP on CPU and MB on GPU.
