I couldn't connect to it last night, but whatever was wrong with it seems to have been sorted out.

For the last few days I haven't been able to search. I get the following message

Invalid Domain
This domain is either invalid or has been disabled. Please check out the Yahoo! Search BOSS support page for more info.
Yahoo! Search BOSS

Interesting thing is each time I get above message 1 cent gets added to my account. I've contributed $0.85 so far from searching.

Just an update and reminder, folks.
The Goodsearch for Seti program has now netted just a few pennies short of $600.00 for the project!!

So, as well as contributing directly to the project or through the GPUUG hardware fundraising efforts, you can help toss pennies into the kettle just by using the Goodsearch search engine.

No cost to you, and those pennies DO add up!

Yup, may be it doesn't so excellent like GPUUG's, but not bad at least. Well done! Going to $ 1000 and I hope folks in Berkeley will spend this money on bandwidth ;))

Friends, it is still working for us....
Goodsearch has now netted just a dollar or so short of $800.00 for our cause.

Please continue to use it when you can.

It IS making a worthy contribution to our project.

Should we do a little cheating? :) I mean, to do some unnecesary searches on the free time...

Most searches are unnecessary anyhow, but doing random searches with no intent to actually use the findings is simply dishonest. Doing random searches in hopes of finding some intriguing oddity, OTOH, is healthy curiosity. My feeling is you should not do it if you think of it as cheating. See Eric Korpela's reply to a somewhat similar line of thought.

I simply use Goodsearch instead of other search engines when I am looking for something I would do anyway. Not just for the sake of a few extra points.

Another Goodsearch for Seti milestone.
We have now reached the $900.00 level in funds for Seti just by doing our searches there.

Thank you to all who are helping make this simple effort a success for Seti!

Meow.

I'm as usual, late to the party - but I do a LOT of searching so I've registered to give this a bash. If it comes up with the goodies for my searching I'll use it by default. Just curious, is the money fed quarterly, yearly or what? BTW, added $0.01 to the pot as a test!

GoodSearch will send each listed nonprofit organization a check once a year, provided the organization has accrued $20 or more (cumulative from all Services) If the organization has earned less than $20, the funds will be allocated on a pro rata basis to those organizations that have met the minimum payment requirement.

Checks not cashed within one (1) year after issue will be deemed null and void, and all corresponding funds will instead be donated on behalf of the payees to nonprofit causes designated by GoodSearch management.

As we can see, we earn for S@H in:
2008: $1.10
2009: $3.52
2010: $67.69
2011: $584.72

So, $4.62 for 2008-2009 S@H gave as a present to other charities, $584.72 for 2011 probably still too early to cash in, and the destiny of $67.69 really would be of general interest to us.

Wow....that didn't take long....I am surprised, but pleased.
We have now raised $1000.00 for Seti on Goodsearch.

Many thanks to all who are employing it for their 'net searching needs.
Keep up the good work, errrrr...Goodsearch!

Absolutely....it is working just great so far. I have not felt the need to use any other search engine since I started using Goodsearch. It has met all my needs so far, and tossing a couple of chips in the Seti pot while looking for something unrelated is a great bonus.

I haven't made any big purchases since starting, but I know some have taken advantage of that feature too. When I do, I'll be sure to check if the vendor is linked to Goodsearch.
