Just thought I'd say hi. I'm running a amd mv-40 notebook at 1.6ghz single core 64bit. Umm what else? It's nice to take part in this screensaver thing. Well that's me. nice to meet you all.

Welcome, and take it easy on that notebook. SETI@home does do some wear and tear on them. Oh side note.. if you can do without the screen saver it works faster.

Im running a Toshiba L350-SE laptop and i use to suffer with overheating problems i am using the T Throttle software but also i have invested in a £20 usb cooling pad for the underneath of the laptop which i have find works brilliant my laptop use to suffer running at 60c+ 24/7 now its running at around 50c thanks to the cooling pad, maybe you should consider investing in one. otherwise cheapest way change the settings on boinc so it doesn't use as much CPU which in turn will lower the temp of the laptop
