Ok you had one address till you went to college, then you had an addy for the army, an addy for first married, two more after that and the one you are at now. So you have had seven to nine addresses. I bet nine. Was never in the military. BOINC WIKI |

OK, no point in keeping everyone in suspense any longer. The count is 11, and Angela is our winner (I promise there was no fix). [edit] 4 before I left for college, 3 in college, and 4 since. BOINC WIKI |

Oh my, lucky me! Ok, how many steps to do we have on our property - inside and outside, total. One guess per player, please. |

Oh my, lucky me! She will globber me, 18 is kind of a lucky number for me and the winning number is higher. Pluto will always be a planet to me. Seti Ambassador Not to late to order an Anni Shirt |

OK, I was able to count 11 right off. So it only makes since that it would be the same number of steps to get in the front door as it takes to get out the back. So my guess is 32 outside of the house and inside as well. I assume you have a basement. (No, I hope you have a basement.) |

Ok we have five guesses so far. Scarecrow (...everyone's favorite one trick pony, nice graphic though...) - 69 James - 56 Celt Tooth - 32 John - 23 Ulibelle - 18 Hint - some of you are closer than others! Better Hint - throw out the outlying data points |

You're in/near Berkeley so there might be a hill involved, and probably a basement. Nice round figure - 40. Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

Lets try 30 And that isn't counting the step from the roadway to the sidewalk. |

Scarecrow - 69 James - 56 Rob - 40 Celt Tooth - 32 Gary - 30 Chris - 27 John - 23 Ulibelle - 18 I will let at least 24 hours from the first post pass before I declare a winner. One guess is quite close, but no one has guessed exactly yet. Perhaps a few new people will play before the evening is up here in the VERY HILLY San Francisco East Bay. If not, I will award the win to the closest guesser. |

Ok, the answer is 45. (46 if you count the step up from the street to the sidewalk.) Our winner is Rob Smith with a very close guess of 40! PM going out to our winner now... |

Thanks Angie, OK, nothing to do with steps, stairs or anything like that. During their married life my parents owned in two houses. The two house numbers are related to each other by the digit "2", but that digit is not in either number. The house second number is greater than the first, what was it? (Dad died a few years back while still resident, with Mum, in the second house, but that's irrelevant to the question) Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

I will say the first house was 50 and the second was 100. [/quote] Old James |

Chris is wrong, as is stated in the description the digit "2" does not appear in either number. James has got the hang of it, but not the right answer... Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |
