Well the first game of the Stanley Cup finals is over, and the Vancouver Good Guys have embarrassed the Boston also ran’s for the first of the four tests for the right to rain supreme in the hockey world. A great goal late in the game ended any chance that the Bruins could hope to make a showing for this game. In other news, the free city of Atlanta has donated another NHL team to Canada with the returne of the Jets to Winnipeg. Thank you Atlanta! Stay tuned for updates and other news. |

I'd say 59.667 minutes of scoreless hockey is a fantastic feat. I watched most of the first 2 periods and it was clear that Vancouver was dominating the puck possession. Perhaps they've learned from the Red Wings that having the puck is almost as good as scoring. I think Vancouver will win this in 5. Be prepared for some very low scoring games though. American Football fans hate this but I know soccer(football) fans love a 0-0 game. Its about the skills and attempts. From what I saw there was a great deal of creative scoring chanced last night. Go Canucks!!! just remember to bring the cup back so Detroit can have it next year In a rich man's house there is no place to spit but his face. Diogenes Of Sinope |

I hate to have to report this to our American fans but at a secret meeting of the Canadian ministry of hockey. (Otherwise known as the, let's make work for Canadian kids in the States.) The committee has decided that Canadian teams will be winning the cup for the next five years. I know it does not seem fair, but after all it is our game and we have decided to allow Cincinnati to have the World Series, (Joey Votto) and make The Blue Jays wait until next year. I am calling this series in six games. I agree with the predictions of Mr. Hockey, Don Cherry. (One of Boston’s old head coaches.) |

. Yep, Go Canucks! However, it will be Pittsburgh that will bring it home next year. We lost our two star players for the last half of the year, but we did manage to make the playoffs. Alas, it wasn't meant to be. Sid the Kid , there is none better. Yep, I know, he's Canadian. ... BETTER THE WORLD ~ PAY IT FORWARD ... |

Sid the Kid , there is none better. Yep, I know, he's Canadian. Mr. Tooth, Good News about Sid; I just now received a text alert from the Pens, Sid has been cleared by the doctor to start his summer off-ice workout program. He was out of the game for all too long, scary stuff concussions. He got slammed bad back in January (I think it was Jan). ... BETTER THE WORLD ~ PAY IT FORWARD ... |

I am happy to see that he is on the way back. Now we need the NHL to do something about cheap shots. We lost Eric Lindros and his brother to head shots, it's time for action. |
