And we all know SETI has plenty of bandwidth to handle all the resends ;-)

I am just thankful for all the GPU crunchers out there tossing out bad work. So their tasks get recycled & sent out to someone that can process them correctly. :)

So there is a problem with people using GPU's for their crunching? Exactly what are you saying?

No, not at all.

Todd

Exactly what I said. I am thankful for the ones spitting out error work so it has to be rechecked.

From reading the messages here, it sounds like I should upgrad my cache from a 1 day cache to a 10 days cache or...?

A lot of people suggest 4-5 day if you want to keep your computer running S@H constantly & do not have any other projects you like to run.

With your Output a 3 Day Cache is enough. Even if the Lines are
overloaded you will get enough Workunits.

What logic is this?
10 days are 10 days no matter what the output is.

10 days are 10 days no matter what the output is.

You don't use a 10 day cache when one of your projects has some WUs with a 1 week deadline. Seeing that it's a dual core system, the RAC indicates that the computer isn't crunching 24/7 so that also has to be taken under consideration. A 3 to 4 day cache is sensible in this case.

Okay, I've now upgrated it to a 3 days cache, how do I get it to run 24/7?

If your computer is already on 24/7 & you leave BOINC running. Then the only thing stopping it would be any time of day restrictions or not having it set for all users to use it, but that is only if more than one person logs into the computer.

You have to wait til the storage server is fixed.
Your client will take some time to fill the cache then.

I assume Windows 7 is going to sleep on you, as it does by default,

To change the power management plan, Go to Control Panel, then System and Security, then Power Options, then click 'change plan settings' then set 'Put computer to sleep' to Never, then save changes,
