HI, old Seti member from years ago, just come back. When I started, years ago, you downloaded some-think, your computer sorted it out, then told you you connect to internet(Seti) to upload results then download new program to be sorted out, now I believe you have to keep connected to the internet all the time, is this correct, as I am on 3g, dangal, 15Gs a month, cannot be on line all time to sort program out, is there a way to download, then turn internet off, but still run program, if that makes sence | |

In BOINC advanced view, click on activity / network activity suspended. that should keep projects from calling home until you are ready | |

In the preferences you can also restrict the times of day at which BOINC is allowed to use the network. This might obviate the need for you to turn it on and off manually, with the Manager set to “Network activity based on preferences”. | |
