I want the judicial branch to do its job and act as a check against an out-of-control executive branch and legislative branch. I want the judicial branch to keep them within the limits of the constitution.

That aside...

Seems whenever the left makes giant leaps towards their progressive utopian dream world, they get all excited and there's a lot of activity.

When the majority start to realize the enormous swing to the left, they start to wake up, notice, and slow things down. Then the left gets quiet, until the majority begins to fall asleep again.

I want the majority to stay engaged.

Sure has gotten quiet in here. Looks like repealing the health care bill is going to pass the senate, the Arab nations are falling into chaos, Jared Laughner has already been forgotten, Keith Olberman quit (or was fired) and Rachael Maddow is showing the world what a fool she is on MSNBC, Canada has begun metering their internet, and it's really starting to look like the U.S. Congress is going to cut spending.

What, no comments?

You know, Guy, vacations do come to an end. People do have lives outside of reading and posting in the S@H Politics forum. I think you've used the latter explanation yourself, correct?
So why is it when someone does not jump to start a conversation here about something you expect to be discussed, it must mean we've forgotten something, or we're not happy with some result? Hmmm?
Once again, we implore you, stop putting words in our mouths, thoughts (or lack thereof) in our minds, and stop with these assumptions of who is a liberal, who is a democrat, who's on your side, so on and so forth.

Jared Laughner has already been forgotten,

Really? Who's forgotten?

Keith Olberman quit (or was fired) and Rachael Maddow is showing the world what a fool she is on MSNBC,

Never watched either. So ... WHO CARES?!?

and it's really starting to look like the U.S. Congress is going to cut spending.

To the tune of Aerosmith: "Dream On." Those in power LOVE to spend our money, regardless of their supposed party. They just like to direct it to different places.
