Nothing to worry about.
It's a SETI@home Enhanced or AstroPulse task?
Your PCs are hidden, so I can't look and guess how long a task would last.

For example on my E7600, a S@h task last from 30 mins to 2 hours.
An AP task last ~ 10 hours.
(with optimized project applications, with stock applications it should be ~ the double)

You should see, that the estimate time decrease very fast. Not seconds and seconds.
If you crunched a few tasks the estimate times should be more accurate..

I have an astropulse unit that is saying its going to take almost 1600 hours on my pentium 4 3.2Ghz. However, i believe this to be an error because after 12 hours of computing, its 11.5%~ complete

Don't panic.
If this is the first AP you've received on this cruncher for some time, then the estimated time will be a substantial over estimate. Each computer has to process a number of AP before the estimate is "accurate", the number used to be 10, but that may have changed.

There is a "comfort trick", look at the percentage progress after a few hours and make your own estimate, repeat an hour or so later and you will have a much better idea of the time to go.
For example, one of my crunchers has just got its first few APs, the initial guess, was like you about 300 hours, 5 hours later the percent complete is 18, so I'd guess that that AP is going to take between 25 and 30 hours (another 20-25 hours to run), despite the "to completion" time now being given as 106 hours.
Don't worry about the other WU, this is what BOINC is for, it should look after the scheduling of the other WU to make sure they finish within their deadlines.

The number is still 10, but that's 10 validations. Depending on the degree to which you have to wait on your wingmen, you may have got some way beyond the 10th completed task, before the 10th validation - and the revised estimates - kick in.

Thanks for the clarification Richard - I was wandering if it had changed because the way the "guesstimates" on my crunchers weren't coming in line with reality as quickly as I'd expected.
