Forgive if posting in the wrong thread, but I'm interested in bringing up an old account of mine that I've dedicated a lot of hours to for computing. The problem is that I don't know the password to the old account. I've tried several possibilities and even checked back through the emails with no luck. The user name on SETI@home is usn_skwerl, and the mods (I hope) have the email address it's attached to.

If you could send a new password for usn_skwerl to the email it's attached to, I'd GREATLY appreciate it.

Edit; It appears the account may be dead (no average credit), so if it's a hassle or if you feel it's not worthwhile to email the password and/or reincarnate the username, disregard this request and let me know your thoughts.

I suppose you mean that you've used those addresses with the "forgot password" link on the logon page. If not, try it.

If you did without success, the only way to reactivate that account would be if you had an old (backup) copy of your BOINC directory. Then you could use the "log on with account key" option on the "forgot email" page.

I'm neither staff nor moderator, but I'm pretty sure that no one will have the opportunity to help you otherwise.

That did the trick. Thanks! Maybe next time I shouldn't be so tired and use my Mk I eyeballs a little more tactfully. I didn't see the 'forgot password link,' oops.
